Compressible Flow Bench
Product Code : LSK-HAP-10574
Compressible Flow Bench (SKU LSK-HAP-10574) is a bench-top, self-contained pressure measurement unit on which students compare liquid manometers with mechanical pressure gauges, all fed from the bench’s own pressure source. It supports fluid mechanics and instrumentation practicals in engineering degrees, polytechnic diplomas and TVET courses. The bench comes off the Science Lab Supplies shop floor at Plot 448, HSIIDC Industrial Area, Saha, Ambala, India, where it is manufactured and priced for colleges, contractors and distributors.
Specifications
Each instrument and feature of this pressure bench is set out row by row below. In short, it is a bench-top, self-contained unit whose own pressure source feeds panel-mounted U-tube and inclined-tube manometers, a positive-pressure Bourdon tube gauge and a compound pressure gauge.

Applications and Experiments for the Compressible Flow Bench
Students connect the manometers and gauges to the built-in pressure source and compare what each instrument shows, learning how liquid columns and mechanical gauges measure the same pressure. Despite its name, it is a pressure measurement bench rather than a compressible-flow rig, used as vocational training equipment for fluid mechanics and instrumentation practicals at diploma and degree level.
- Reading pressure as a liquid head on the U-tube manometer and converting it to pascals or bar.
- Showing how the inclined tube spreads small pressure differences along a longer scale.
- Comparing manometer fluids of different density at the same applied pressure.
- Checking the Bourdon and compound gauges against the manometers, with gauge construction explained on the Calibration of a Bourdon Pressure Gauge apparatus and simple classroom work on a glass U-Tube Manometer.
Standard Scope of Supply
The bench is supplied as one self-contained unit with its pressure source, the panel-mounted U-tube and inclined-tube manometers, the Bourdon tube pressure gauge, the compound gauge and the interconnections that link them. Manometer fluids and any optional items are confirmed on the quotation.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
Ask for a quotation for a single bench or for several units across departments. Each quotation lists packing, delivery time and price for the quantity requested, and other pressure or flow apparatus from our engineering range can be quoted together with it.
As a registered exporter with an Importer-Exporter Code, Science Lab Supplies can ship to buyers in South Africa, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia and Peru. Questions about manometer fluids or panel layout can be raised on the contact page, a full list can be built in the enquiry cart, and tender submissions start from the lab tender page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is this bench used for?
It is used to teach pressure measurement: students apply pressure from the built-in source and compare U-tube, inclined-tube, Bourdon tube and compound gauge readings on one panel, seeing how each instrument responds.
Why is there an inclined manometer as well as a U-tube?
Tilting the tube spreads a small change in liquid height along a longer scale, so the inclined manometer gives finer readings of low pressures, while the U-tube shows larger differences directly.
Does the bench need an external air supply?
No. It is self-contained and generates its own pressure, and all the manometers and panel gauges can be connected to that common source, so it can be used on an ordinary laboratory bench top.
Does Science Lab Supplies make this bench or resell it?
It makes it. The bench is produced at the company’s own factory in Saha, Ambala, India, and the quotation you receive comes from the manufacturer without an intermediary.
