Plastic Cylinder
Product Code : SCL-CL-11887
Plastic Cylinder (SKU SCL-CL-11887) is a flexible plastic tubing that resists high temperatures and carries liquids and gases from one vessel to another in demonstration experiments. It can serve liquid handling, draining and water or air lines for an aquarium, as well as general laboratory set-ups in school and college practicals. Science Lab Supplies offers it from Ambala, India, quoting single units or bulk lots for schools, colleges, contractors and distributors.

Applications and Experiments for the Plastic Cylinder
Despite its name, the Plastic Cylinder is a flexible plastic tube rather than a cylindrical vessel: it links apparatus so liquids and gases can pass between them. It suits CBSE/NCERT Class 6–12 practicals, B.Sc. chemistry set-ups and laboratory-technician training wherever a liquid or gas line is needed.
- Joining lengths from the Glass Tubes of Different Diameters set to carry gas or water between vessels in Class 10 gas-preparation work.
- Siphoning and draining liquids from one container to another in simple demonstrations.
- Water supply and drain lines for condensers and other cooled glassware in distillation set-ups.
- Linking the flask and water pump of the Equipment for Vacuum Filtration set in B.Sc. practicals.
- Water or air hose for aquarium-based biology activities.
Cut the tubing to length with a sharp blade and ease it onto glass tubes with a little water as lubricant, never by force, so the glass cannot snap in the hand.
Standard Scope of Supply
The Plastic Cylinder is supplied as flexible plastic tubing as set out above; the bore, length and quantity are confirmed on the quotation for the order. Stoppers, glass tubes and clamps for a complete transfer line can be listed alongside it on the same document.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
Request a price for a single unit or for enough tubing to equip every student group, and the quotation will list the packing, delivery time and price for that quantity. Rubber stoppers, glass connectors and pipe clamps can be quoted on the same document.
As an exporter registered under an Importer-Exporter Code, Science Lab Supplies can ship to buyers in Saudi Arabia, Oman, the Philippines, Nepal, Bangladesh and Zambia. Note the bore or length you have in mind on the contact page, add the tubing to the enquiry cart with its fittings, or refer to the lab tender page for tender buying.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Plastic Cylinder a vessel or a tube?
It is flexible plastic tubing, not a cylindrical vessel. The tubing transfers liquids and gases between apparatus, for example in liquid handling, drains and aquarium water or air lines, and in laboratory demonstrations.
Can it be used with hot liquids?
The tubing is resistant to high temperatures, so it can carry warm water from a condenser or bath. Ask through the contact page for the temperature limit of the batch quoted before running very hot liquids through it.
Who supplies the Plastic Cylinder?
The tubing is offered by Science Lab Supplies from its Ambala, India, base. Schools, colleges and contractors can have it quoted alone or with stoppers, glass connectors and clamps for complete transfer lines.
What size is the tubing?
The bore and length are confirmed on the quotation for the tubing offered. If your glassware or connectors need a particular size, state it with your enquiry so the quotation can match it.
