Boring Bars with Holder
Product Code : LSK-MMTM-10601
Boring Bars with Holder (SKU LSK-MMTM-10601) is a lathe boring set: a double-ended, one-piece bar that carries a small square tool bit to enlarge and finish holes, clamped in a square-shank holder for the tool post. Turner and Machinist trainees in ITIs, polytechnic workshops and TVET institutes use it for internal turning. The sets are supplied by Science Lab Supplies, Ambala, India, in seven sizes to training institutes, colleges, tender contractors and distributors.
Specifications
Shared features and the seven boring bar sizes are each given a row below. In short, every bar is a one-piece, double-ended design with 90° and 45° square ends and a shiny black finish, running from a 3/8 in bar with a 1/8 in bit to a 1-3/16 in bar with a 1/2 in bit.

Applications and Experiments for Boring Bars with Holder
Boring is how trainees produce accurate, concentric bores that a drill alone cannot give. Using the bar teaches tool overhang, rigidity and light finishing cuts, and the set is a standard entry among workshop tools for technical training institutes and ITI trade tools lists.
- ITI Turner and Machinist trades: through boring, counterboring and internal steps on a Center Lathe Machine.
- Using the 45° end to reach into blind holes and against internal shoulders.
- Diploma and B.Tech workshop practice: finishing holes to size after drilling, for example on the Upright Drilling Machine.
Use the stiffest bar the hole allows and keep overhang short to limit chatter; work under instructor supervision.
Standard Scope of Supply
Each set is supplied with the boring bar, its holder, an Allen key and a clamping screw. Tool bits are not included, so order square bits separately in the size listed for your item number; they can be added to the same quotation if you wish.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
Sets can be quoted in one size or as a range from item 1 to item 7 for a whole machine shop. Packing, delivery time and price are shown on the quotation for each item and quantity, and matching tool bits can be added.
As a registered exporter with an Importer-Exporter Code, Science Lab Supplies can ship to buyers in Peru, Egypt, Iraq, Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana. Put the item numbers in a message via the contact page, gather them in the enquiry cart, or follow the lab tender page for public procurement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are tool bits included with the boring bars?
No. Each set comes with an Allen key and screw but without tool bits. The square bit size for each item, from 1/8 in to 1/2 in, is listed in the table.
Why does the bar have two ends?
One end holds the bit at 90° for straight boring; the other holds it at 45° for reaching into blind holes and facing internal shoulders, so one bar covers both jobs.
How do we choose a size?
Pick the bar that suits the bore and your tool post: bars run from 3/8 in diameter and 4-1/2 in length (item 1) to 1-3/16 in and 13-3/4 in (item 7), with holder squares from 1/2 to 1-5/8 in.
Who supplies these boring bars?
Science Lab Supplies supplies the boring bars from Ambala, India. They can be grouped with a centre lathe, tool bits and other holders on a single quotation for workshops, colleges and contractors.
