Technical Drawing Board
Product Code : SCL-LAO-12076
Technical Drawing Board (SKU SCL-LAO-12076) is a 600 x 450 mm drafting board with a parallel motion straightedge and folding legs, giving a flat, stable surface for ray diagrams, force diagrams and geometric layouts on paper. It is used in physics labs, engineering drawing classes and technical courses. Science Lab Supplies manufactures the board in Ambala, at Plot 448, HSIIDC Industrial Area, Saha, India, and quotes it without intermediaries to schools, colleges, tender contractors and distributors.
Specifications
This 600 x 450 mm drawing board is specified in full in the rows that follow. In short, a 15 mm cross-laminated engineered wood core with a smooth matte veneer and PVC edge lining carries a pre-strung parallel straightedge with millimetre markings, and two-position folding steel legs set the working angle.

Applications and Experiments for the Technical Drawing Board
Students clip a sheet to the board, square it against the parallel straightedge and draw reference lines, then use set squares on the rule for angles. In school physics lab equipment in India it supports any practical whose answer comes from an accurate scaled diagram.
- Class 10–12 optics: drawing incident, refracted and emergent rays for a Plane Glass Optical Slab or a Glass Prism (Equilateral, 50 × 50 mm).
- Class 11 mechanics: scaled vector diagrams for the triangle and parallelogram laws of forces.
- Engineering and technical courses: geometric constructions and orthographic sketches on A2 paper.
- Field and flux plots in electricity and magnetism units.
Do not cut on the veneer with blades, and keep the straightedge cords free of grease or ink.
Standard Scope of Supply
Each board is delivered with the integrated parallel motion straightedge already strung, two clip-on paper fasteners, a protective heavy-duty nylon carrying case and an instruction sheet with alignment guidelines. Set squares, scales and drawing paper are not included and can be quoted with the board.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
Price requests can cover one drawing board or a full classroom set. Each quotation names packing, delivery time and price for that number, and rulers, force apparatus or optics blocks can be included on the same document so the drawing practicals are covered together.
Science Lab Supplies has an Importer-Exporter Code and can ship to buyers in Egypt, Iraq, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Ethiopia. The business is registered under Udyam as a manufacturing enterprise (UDYAM-HR-01-0014546) and for GST (GSTIN 06ADEPJ0574F2ZU). Frequently Asked Questions
Will an A2 sheet fit on the board?
Yes. The 600 x 450 mm surface holds a standard A2 drafting sheet with a margin left for the two clip-on fasteners, so the sheet stays square to the parallel straightedge while you draw.
Does the parallel straightedge need stringing?
No. It arrives pre-strung with high-tensile wire cords, ready to use. It slides up and down the board and locks firmly in place for horizontal lines and as a base for set squares.
Can the board be used flat as well as tilted?
Yes. It lies flat on a bench, or the two-position folding steel legs raise it to a comfortable drawing angle. The legs are non-slip, so the board stays put under normal drawing pressure.
Where is the drawing board made?
It is made by Science Lab Supplies, the manufacturer, at its factory in Saha, Ambala, India. Orders are handled by that same production unit, from quotation to packing, with no separate trading company in between.
Related Drawing, Force and Ray-Diagram Apparatus
These items produce the angles, forces and lengths that end up as diagrams on the board, from force tables to rulers and prisms. Any of them can be quoted with the technical drawing board when a laboratory equips its mechanics and optics benches.
- Universal Force Table — 40 cm aluminium disc graduated in 360 degrees, with four clamp pulleys.
- Parallelogram Force Apparatus — 12 mm plywood board for labs short of wall space.
- Wooden Ruler 1 Metre — hardwood rule graduated in cm and mm on both edges.
- Measuring Rulers Set — 50 cm and 100 cm rules with a clear lacquer finish.
- Board Instruments T-Square — polystyrene T-square with handle for whiteboards and chalkboards.
- Optical Ray Tracing Kit — laser ray box with a semicircular block, prism and lenses.
