Lenz’s Law
Product Code : LSK-PL-10339
Lenz’s Law (SKU LSK-PL-10339) is an open and closed loop demonstration device for electromagnetic induction. Passing a magnet through the complete loop makes the device move, while the split loop stays still, so students see that an induced current, and the force it produces, needs a closed path. It serves Class 12 and college physics teaching. Science Lab Supplies builds the device in-house; its manufacturing unit at Plot 448, HSIIDC Industrial Area, Saha, Ambala supplies schools, colleges, tender contractors and distributors directly.
Specifications
The apparatus pairs a complete (closed) loop with a split (open) loop. A magnet moved through the closed loop induces a current that opposes the change, and the device moves; the same movement through the split loop gives no response. It teaches both Faraday’s law of induction and Lenz’s law.

Applications and Experiments for the Lenz’s Law Apparatus
The device gives a visible, mechanical proof that induced currents oppose the change that causes them. Comparing the closed and split loops isolates the role of a complete circuit, which makes it a strong item for any electricity and magnetism lab kit for schools and a regular entry on a physics lab equipment list for Class 11 and 12.
- NCERT Class 12 physics, electromagnetic induction: Faraday’s laws and Lenz’s law.
- Showing Lenz’s law as a consequence of conservation of energy.
- B.Sc. electricity and magnetism: introductory demonstration before quantitative induction work.
Standard Scope of Supply
The Lenz’s Law device is supplied as a single unit carrying the closed and split loops described above. The listing does not include a magnet, so if you need one for the demonstration, ask for it to be added as a separate line on the quotation.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
Whether you need a single demonstration unit or one for each practical group, the quotation lists packing, delivery time and price for your exact quantity. Coils, galvanometers and magnets for the rest of the induction topic can be priced on the same quote.
Science Lab Supplies is a registered exporter holding an Importer-Exporter Code and is able to ship to buyers in Iraq, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia and Tanzania. Send your list through the contact page, build it in the enquiry cart, or see how tenders are handled on the lab tender page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why does only the closed loop move?
A changing magnetic field drives a current only around a complete circuit. In the closed loop that current creates a field opposing the magnet, so the loop moves; the split loop cannot carry a current, so nothing happens.
Which laws does this apparatus teach?
Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, which says a changing magnetic flux induces an e.m.f., and Lenz’s law, which gives the direction of the induced current as the one opposing that change.
Is a magnet supplied?
A magnet is not part of the listed item. Please ask for one on the quotation if your laboratory does not already have a suitable magnet.
Is Science Lab Supplies a trader for this item?
No. The company manufactures the apparatus in its Saha, Ambala works, and your quotation comes straight from that production unit rather than through a reseller or agent.
