Circuit Breaker Trainer
Product Code : LSK-EPS-10527
Circuit Breaker Trainer (SKU LSK-EPS-10527) shows how the most common circuit protection devices perform by letting students set a fault current in four separate circuits and compare fuses, magnetic, thermal and thermomagnetic circuit-breakers and residual current protection. It suits switchgear labs in B.Tech/B.E. and diploma electrical courses and ITI Electrician training. Science Lab Supplies offers the trainer from Ambala, India to institutes, colleges, tender contractors and distributors.
Specifications
An internal variable transformer works with the load to set the fault current in each of four circuits, each fitted with a different protection device. Every circuit has a contact breaker switched by an industrial-standard discrepancy switch, and meters show the incoming voltage and current. A suitable three-phase supply and load are required.

Applications and Experiments for the Circuit Breaker Trainer
Students raise the fault current step by step in each circuit and note when and how quickly each device trips. Comparing results shows why fuses, magnetic, thermal and thermomagnetic breakers suit different duties, and how residual current devices respond to earth leakage.
- B.Tech switchgear lab: fault current versus breaking time for different fuse types.
- Trip behaviour of magnetic, thermal and thermomagnetic circuit-breakers.
- ITI Electrician and diploma training: earth leakage faults and residual current detection.
- Control room versus remote switching using the key switches.
The trainer produces real fault currents from a three-phase supply; run it only under qualified supervision.
Standard Scope of Supply
The trainer is supplied with its four protection circuits and devices, internal variable transformer, contact breakers and discrepancy switches, fuse-break lamps, residual current detector with display, key switches and incoming meters. The three-phase supply and load it works with are arranged separately.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
Whether you are equipping one bench or a whole switchgear lab, we can quote the quantity you need. Packing, delivery time and price are stated for that quantity, and a load bank to run with the trainer can be added.
Science Lab Supplies holds an Importer-Exporter Code, so it can ship to buyers in Bangladesh, Zambia, Rwanda, South Africa, Qatar and Sri Lanka. Enquiries can start from the enquiry cart or the contact page, and tender buyers can consult the lab tender page.
Frequently Asked Questions
What else is needed to run the trainer?
It works with a suitable three-phase supply and a load. The internal variable transformer and the load together set the fault current in each circuit.
How can students tell when a fuse has blown?
Circuit two has a fuse-break detector with lamps, one for each of the three phase fuses, so students see exactly when each fuse breaks.
Who supplies the Circuit Breaker Trainer?
Science Lab Supplies supplies the trainer from Ambala, India, and can include matching load equipment on the quotation.
What does the key switch circuit demonstrate?
Circuit three has remote and local key switches, showing how a control room operator or a remote operator can switch a circuit on or off in a real installation.
