Axial Flow Pump Module
Product Code : LSK-FM-10479
Axial Flow Pump Module (SKU LSK-FM-10479) is a trolley-mounted test module that lets students run performance tests on an axial flow pump, driven and measured by the Universal Dynamometer. It is part of the Modular Fluid Power range and serves fluid machinery practicals, demonstrations and projects in B.Tech and diploma engineering courses. Science Lab Supplies manufactures the module in its Saha, Ambala factory (Plot 448, HSIIDC Industrial Area, India) and supplies it directly to institutions, contractors and distributors.
Specifications
The pump has two bladed sections, one fixed and one moving. Water flows from a tank through a calibrated nozzle, through the pump to an adjustable delivery valve and back to the tank. Electronic transducers read inlet, outlet and nozzle differential pressures on a digital display, all on a mobile trolley.

Applications and Experiments for the Axial Flow Pump Module
Students close the delivery valve in steps and record pressures, flow from the nozzle, and the speed, torque and power from the dynamometer. The data give head, power and efficiency curves for an axial pump, a type that delivers high flow rates at reasonable pressure, as in irrigation.
- B.Tech fluid machinery lab: performance characteristics of an axial flow pump.
- Flow measurement with a calibrated nozzle and differential pressure.
- Effect of pump speed on head and flow.
- Student projects comparing axial and centrifugal pump behaviour.
The pump is motor-driven, so keep guards in place and run tests under staff supervision.
Standard Scope of Supply
The module includes the axial flow pump, water tank, calibrated nozzle, delivery valve, pressure transducers and digital display, all mounted on the mobile trolley. It is driven by the Universal Dynamometer, which is a separate product in the range; add it to the quotation if you do not already have one.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
One module or several can be quoted, depending on how many student groups you plan to run. Each quotation specifies packing, delivery time and price for the requested quantity, and other engineering lab equipment in India from the Fluid Power range can be combined with it.
As the holder of an Importer-Exporter Code, Science Lab Supplies can ship to buyers in Saudi Arabia, Oman, the Philippines, Nepal, Bangladesh and Zambia. Our contact page and enquiry cart take your requirements, and the lab tender page explains tender supply.
Frequently Asked Questions
What drives the axial flow pump?
The module is driven by the Universal Dynamometer, which also measures the speed, torque and power absorbed by the pump. Speed can be varied up to the maximum allowed for the pump.
How is flow rate measured?
Water passes through a calibrated nozzle before the pump, and a transducer measures the pressure difference across it; the digital display shows this with the inlet and outlet pressures.
Is Science Lab Supplies the manufacturer?
Yes, the module is manufactured by Science Lab Supplies at its factory in Saha, Ambala, India, and we quote it to you directly as the maker.
Can it be used for projects as well as set practicals?
Yes. The module suits student experiments, demonstrations and projects, and the adjustable delivery valve allows a wide range of pump performance tests.
