Angle Between Mirrors Model
Product Code : SCL-LAO-12070
Angle Between Mirrors Model (SKU SCL-LAO-12070) is a pair of hinged plane mirrors on a protractor base, used to show how the number of images of an object changes as the angle between two mirrors is varied. It suits middle-school and secondary light lessons and introductory college optics. Science Lab Supplies manufactures the model on Plot 448 in the HSIIDC Industrial Area at Saha, Ambala, India, and sells it factory-direct to schools, colleges, tender contractors and distributors.
Specifications
Each specification of the hinged-mirror model appears as its own row below. In short, two 150 x 100 mm acrylic mirror leaves turn on a reinforced hinge above a polystyrene base printed with a 360-degree protractor, so the opening can be set and read anywhere from 0 to 180 degrees.

Applications and Experiments for the Angle Between Mirrors Model
The model turns the multiple-image rule into a counting exercise: students set an angle, stand a pin between the mirrors, count the images and compare the count with n = 360/θ − 1. Because it works in room light, it is simple school physics lab equipment in India for any light bench.
- Class 6–8 light topics: multiple images in inclined mirrors, linked to the three 60-degree mirrors of the Educational Kaleidoscope Model.
- Class 10 reflection: checking that the angle of incidence equals the angle of reflection at each mirror face.
- Class 11–12 and first-year college work: tabulating image count at 90, 72, 60 and 45 degrees and plotting count against angle.
- Line-of-sight work, contrasted with the fixed 45-degree mirror pair of the Wooden Periscope for Geometric Optics.
Standard Scope of Supply
Each set comprises the hinged dual-mirror assembly, the calibrated protractor base plate, two colour-coded vertical object markers and a student experiment guide with the basic ray-tracing relations. No lamp or power supply is required; a ray box for ray-path demonstrations can be quoted separately if wanted.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
Whether you need one model for a demonstration bench or one for every student group, ask for a quotation naming the quantity. Science Lab Supplies replies with the packing, delivery time and price for that order, and plastic mirrors, object pins or a ray box can be priced on the same document.
Holding an Importer-Exporter Code, Science Lab Supplies is able to ship to buyers in South Africa, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia and Peru. Send your list through the contact page, gather items in the enquiry cart as you browse, or read the lab tender page before a formal bid.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many images form at a given angle?
When 360 divided by the angle is a whole number, the count is that ratio minus one, so 90 degrees gives three images and 60 degrees gives five. Otherwise the object's position relative to the bisector decides whether an extra partial image appears.
Are the mirrors made of glass?
No. Both leaves are vacuum-metallized optical acrylic, 3 mm thick, so they do not shatter like glass. Clean them with a soft microfibre cloth and mild soapy water only, never acetone, as acrylic scratches more easily.
Do we need a light source or laser?
No. The images of the object pins are seen in normal room light. A low-intensity ray box such as the Rectangular Optical Light Box can be added when you want to draw ray paths on paper.
Is Science Lab Supplies the manufacturer or a trader?
It is the manufacturer. The mirror model is assembled at the company's own works in Saha, Ambala, India, so each quotation is issued by the maker itself rather than by a reseller or trading house.
