Spectral Tubes (SKU LSK-PL-10349) are gas-filled discharge tubes for observing the line and band spectra of various noble and diatomic gases. Each straight-pattern tube is about 220 mm long, with an 80 mm by 6 mm capillary where the glow is brightest and a 6.5 mm contact cap at each end. They are used in senior school, B.Sc. and engineering physics labs. Applications and Experiments for the Spectral Tubes
When a discharge passes through the gas, each tube glows with the characteristic colours of its filling.
