Reverse Osmosis Ultra filtration Unit
Product Code : LSK-TWL-10813
Reverse Osmosis Ultra filtration Unit (SKU LSK-TWL-10813) is a self-contained membrane separation rig that runs both reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) on small volumes of process fluid. Chemical, food and process engineering departments use it to teach membrane processes and to establish operating parameters before scale-up. Science Lab Supplies manufactures the unit at its factory at Plot 448, HSIIDC Industrial Area, Saha, Ambala, India, and supplies it direct to universities, polytechnics, tender contractors and distributors as part of its engineering lab equipment in India.
Specifications
The unit is built into a mobile cabinet that houses the membrane module, feed and permeate tanks, a plate heat exchanger and positive displacement pumps. Wetted parts are stainless steel, PTFE and silicone rubber, digital meters show temperatures and system pressure, and a clean-in-place facility is built in.

Applications and Experiments for the Reverse Osmosis Ultrafiltration Unit
The rig lets students compare RO and UF on the same cabinet, measuring permeate flow against pressure, flow rate and temperature. Because the membranes differ from full-scale plant membranes only in length and number, results from small fluid quantities can be used to plan an industrial process.
- B.Tech/B.E. chemical engineering: mass transfer and separation processes laboratory.
- Food and dairy technology courses: concentration and clarification of liquids by membrane filtration.
- Environmental engineering: water treatment and desalination demonstrations.
- Postgraduate and pilot work: optimising operating parameters before transfer to full-scale plant.
The system runs at pressures up to 55 bar, so it should be operated under supervision and fully depressurised before the module is opened or the unit is dismantled for servicing.
Standard Scope of Supply
Each unit is supplied in its mobile cabinet with the membrane module, 15-litre feed and permeate tanks, plate heat exchanger, positive displacement pumps, digital temperature and pressure meters, clean-in-place facility and a pack of both RO and UF membranes. Cooling water and the electrical supply are provided on site.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
You can ask for a quotation for one unit or for a complete unit-operations laboratory. Every quotation lists the packing, delivery time and price for the quantity requested, and other process rigs from the same range can be added so one document covers the whole lab.
As a registered exporter with an Importer-Exporter Code, Science Lab Supplies can ship to buyers in Bangladesh, Zambia, Rwanda, South Africa, Qatar and Sri Lanka. Enquire via the contact page or enquiry cart; see also the lab tender page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the same unit run reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration?
Yes. The module takes either membrane type, membranes can be changed quickly, and the unit is supplied with a pack of both RO and UF membranes, so one cabinet covers both processes.
What services does the unit need in the laboratory?
Only a cooling water connection and a suitable electrical supply are needed for normal operation. Everything else, including tanks, pumps, heat exchanger and instrumentation, is inside the mobile cabinet.
Is Science Lab Supplies the manufacturer or a trader?
Science Lab Supplies is the manufacturer. The unit is built at its own factory in Saha, Ambala, India, and quotations are issued directly by the factory.
Can it be quoted with other items for a university tender?
Yes. Share the item list, quantities and delivery location through the contact page and you will receive an item-wise quotation for the engineering lab.
