Applications and Experiments for the Air Track
With friction almost removed, the gliders show Newton's laws and conservation of momentum cleanly. Spring buffers give elastic collisions and hook-and-loop strips give inelastic ones, the slotted masses change glider mass, and the flags and light-blocking plates let a photogate timer measure speed.

The set contents have no blower. The track needs an air supply from a separate unit, such as the Air-Flow Generator for Air Track, which can be added to the quotation.
How long is the usable part of the track?
1.90 m of the 2 m track is usable, read on the millimetre ruler along one side, with the gliders riding over the two rows of air holes for the whole of that length.
