Centrifugal Pump Module
Product Code : LSK-FM-10475
Centrifugal Pump Module (SKU LSK-FM-10475) is a trolley-mounted centrifugal pump test rig from the Modular Fluid Power range, driven by the separate Universal Dynamometer. It is used to find pump characteristics and also serves as the water source for the optional turbines. Science Lab Supplies manufactures the module at Plot 448, HSIIDC Industrial Area, Saha, Ambala, India, and its quotations go straight to engineering colleges, tender contractors and distributors.
Specifications
For the pump module, the table lists one specification per row. In short, a centrifugal pump, Venturi flowmeter, valves, reservoir and instrumentation sit on a robust mobile trolley; electronic transducers read inlet, delivery and Venturi differential pressures, and the Universal Dynamometer supplies variable speed and measures torque for shaft power.

Applications and Experiments for the Centrifugal Pump Module
Students vary speed and delivery conditions, then plot head, power and efficiency against flow to build the pump characteristic. The same rig drives a Pelton wheel, a propeller turbine and a further turbine through the Turbine Dynamometer, covering both halves of a hydraulic machines syllabus in B.Tech/B.E. mechanical and civil engineering.
- Head–flow, power–flow and efficiency–flow curves at different speeds.
- Pump affinity laws from tests at several shaft speeds, extended to two pumps working in series or parallel on the Variable Speed Series and Parallel Pumps set.
- Turbine performance tests with the optional turbines and Turbine Dynamometer.
- Flow measurement with a Venturi meter and differential pressure, a principle also shown by the Venturi Flowmeter.
Standard Scope of Supply
The module is supplied on its trolley with the centrifugal pump, Venturi flowmeter, valves, reservoir and pressure-transducer instrumentation. The Universal Dynamometer that drives it, the Turbine Dynamometer, the optional turbines and an optional stroboscope are separate items that can be added to the same quotation.
Packing, MOQ and Lead Time
Quotations can be for the module alone or for a full set with dynamometers and turbines; each states packing, delivery time and price for the items chosen. Departments comparing engineering lab equipment in India can see the whole fluid power bench priced in one document.
With an Importer-Exporter Code in place, Science Lab Supplies can ship to buyers in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman. Whether you want the module alone or with turbines, put the list on the contact page or into the enquiry cart; a tendered purchase follows the lab tender page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does the module include its own motor?
No. The pump is driven by the separate Universal Dynamometer, which also measures and displays speed and torque so that shaft power can be calculated.
How are turbines tested with it?
The Turbine Dynamometer fits onto the module and the pump delivery pipe connects to the turbine. A transducer on the module measures turbine inlet pressure while the dynamometer loads the turbine.
What does the optional stroboscope add?
Used with a stroboscope, students can freeze the image of the moving turbine and the water flow, which makes the flow through the runner easier to understand.
Is Science Lab Supplies the manufacturer or a trader?
The pump module, trolley and transducer set are made at the Science Lab Supplies factory in Saha, Ambala, India; buyers therefore receive the technical details and the price directly from the manufacturer.
Related Pump and Turbine Units
The module works as the hub of a hydraulic machines lab. These items drive it, load the turbines it powers, provide two of the optional turbines, add other pump types for comparison and include a Hydraulics and Pneumatics multi-pump rig, so pump and turbine tests can share one quotation.
- Universal Dynamometer — trunnion-mounted induction motor with an inductive speed sensor and load cell.
- Turbine Dynamometer — mounts near the pump outlet; each turbine's brake drum fits inside it.
- Pelton Wheel (turbine) — impulse turbine suited to high head and low flow.
- Propeller Turbine — propeller runner fed by adjustable guide vanes, for high flow rates.
- Axial Flow Pump Module — trolley-mounted axial pump giving high flow at a reasonable pressure.
- Centrifugal Pump Test Set — self-contained set in which students can see and hear cavitation.
- Multi Pump Test Rig — centrifugal and gear pumps as standard, with five pump positions.
